The New Blade and Vane Manufacturing Center of ExcellenceWe’ve taken the next step forward – with a new blade and vane manufacturing facility. Our new factory gives MPSA the most modern and comprehensive manufacturing capability in the hemisphere – with highly automated machining operations, productivity-enhancing systems, and “lean” manufacturing techniques designed to ensure best-quality and rapid availability of both gas and steam turbine parts. The new facility doubles the size of the Mitsubishi support team, as well as significantly expanding our parts supply inventory to stand behind your operating fleet. Groundbreaking for the $64.5 million dollar expansion began on June 29th, 2007 using 35 ft tilt-wall construction. The building includes a rooftop observation that will overlook an array of 2,500 Mitsubishi designed photovoltaic solar panels designed to supply 20% of the facility’s peak electrical needs. Dedicated June 27th, 2008, the new 111,500 sq ft Blade and Vane Manufacturing Facility will begin producing new parts starting mid-summer. Download the Latest Brochure |
