Mitsubishi supercritical boiler

Mitsubishi supercritical boiler
Mitsubishi supercritical boilers unite our best technologies in a single engineered package, including: 1) two-stage MRS pulverizer, 2) A-PM burner, 3) in-furnace NOX reduction system, 4) integrated SCR and 5) a simplified vertical water wall design that achieves reduced pressure losses and power consumption versus spiral wall configurations.

Mitsubishi Supercritical Boilers Combine Ultra-Efficient Performance with Reduced NOx

Increased output. Lower operating costs. Reduced emissions. Mitsubishi’s new generation of supercritical sliding pressure boilers delivers it all, in an integrated system package that pushes the boundaries of high-efficiency, low-NOx boiler performance.

Featuring higher main steam temperature (1119° F*) and pressure (3684 psig*), our boilers drive up to 1000MW of steam generator output at industry-best levels of efficiency. Plus:

  • Innovative Vertical Water Wall Furnace design is simpler than spiral wall configurations, minimizes pressure losses and maintains uniform fluid temperature distribution, even at partial loads.

  • Dual-flame A-PM Burner reduces NOx release in the combustion zone.

  • MACT [Mitsubishi Advanced Combustion Technology] system provides second-stage NOx reduction above the combustion zone.

  • Fine-grinding (90% of particles sized 200 mesh or finer) MRS Pulverizer with rotary classification minimizes unburnt carbon in the fly ash.

* Specification for Misumi No. 1 boiler for Chugoku Electric Power Co. Inc., Japan, which entered commercial operation in 1998.
